The project of planting 1000 trees started in Soran University On Wednesday, July 6, 2023, the first step of planting trees in the campus of Soran University went into effect. During the environmental projects of Soran University, for the new academic year 2023-2024, the project of 1000 trees for greening the university was announced by the Career Development Center in coordination with Tulip Organization. Several seminars, workshops, courses and various field activities were held to introduce the project and environmental awareness related to the subject in the university. Then, in the presence of the Rector of Soran University (Prof. Sherwan Sharif Qurtas) and the Vice Rector, staff and volunteers of the Career Development Center, hosted by each of the organizers and representatives of Tulip, the first step was taken to plant trees in the university campus, which were 100 trees of several different species. It is worth mentioning that the project is ongoing and in order to be carried out in the best way in a scientific way and the right type and in the right place and is monitored by experts and concerned universities, organizations and those who participate in the project. What distinguishes the project from other projects is that each tree is named after the person who planted the tree and the location is determined by GIS-RS system under the supervision of the Career Development Center named after themselves. In addition, anyone can become part of the project and participate with a tree or more.
